I'm feeling better -- still not quite well. Nevertheless, I felt the urge to personally mail some cards today instead of asking Ira to take them to the P.O. I did send one to POTUS, but I've been using the other cards (plenty remaining) to write to Senators and Representatives. What I add to the printed cards depends, of course, on the intended recipient. Doing something, however small, is the best antidepressant.

Risa...I love your cards! Impressive. Andy & I did get our cards mailed to 1600 PA Ave., but haven't done the representative mailing. Good idea! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better, albeit early days of recovery. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything Carol said. I mailed my cards from SC today with various return address zip codes in NC (with permission,of course). I need some more (different) cards with new focus.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, C & J -- I love you guys! IF I'm completely well by Sunday (probably a long shot), Jane, I'll bring cards to the meeting (in case you want to use some). Or perhaps Ira will be able to come with ideas & cards, but not with me. Jane, you DID what I had planned to do!!! Before I got sick, I envisioned mailing cards from 2 or 3 states. (But as Lou Rosser might have said, "Alas and alack." To honor Lou's memory, I think it would be great to have cards made up that simply say: "CEASE AND DESIST." Or throw in a little Sean Spicer and add "PERIOD.")
DeleteI appreciate your efforts, C & J, to elevate my spirits and low energy level.
cool cards [and stamp] - hope you feel better soon
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind messages, Aurelia.
ReplyDeleteJust read an article in Santa Barbara newspaper saying the White House will try to squelch any mention of the postcards, but people are hoping some friendly intern or postal worker at the sorting location will leak some photos. I know all the WH staffers are scared to death of leaking anything ever since all their phones and computers were confiscated. Lots of other articles speculate that they reached the goal of a million (or more) cards sent.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that info, Vicki.
